These terms apply to all clients, visitors, and individuals who interact with our business in any capacity, whether online or in person at our Fontana, California location.

Please read these terms carefully before proceeding with any service booking, rental agreement, or purchase. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, we kindly request that you refrain from using our services or accessing our website. Charly’s Taylor reserves the right to modify, update, or revise these terms at any time without prior notice. Continued use of our services following any such update constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the applicable laws of the State of California. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts located in San Bernardino County, California.

By booking an appointment, entering into a rental agreement, submitting a garment for alterations, or otherwise availing yourself of any service offered by Charly’s Taylor, you confirm that you are at least eighteen years of age or that you have obtained the consent of a parent or legal guardian. Individuals under the age of eighteen must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during fittings and consultations, and any agreements entered into on behalf of a minor shall be the responsibility of the accompanying adult.

3.1 Tuxedo and Formalwear Rentals

We offer a curated selection of formal garments, including tuxedos, suits, and accompanying accessories, available for rental for a specified period. All rental garments remain the exclusive property of Charly’s Taylor at all times. Rental terms, including duration, pricing, and deposit requirements, will be communicated at the time of booking. Our rental collection includes a variety of classic and contemporary styles, designed to accommodate a wide range of personal preferences, body types, and event requirements.

3.2 Expert Garment Alterations

Our in-house alteration services are designed to refine the fit and structure of both rental and personally owned garments. Alterations are carried out by our experienced tailoring team and include adjustments to jacket sleeves, trouser hemming, waist suppression, jacket structure, and other modifications as required. Each alteration is executed with precision and care, with the goal of enhancing the garment’s overall silhouette, comfort, and appearance. We work with a broad range of fabrics and garment constructions, drawing on decades of expertise to deliver results that exceed client expectations.

3.3 Style Consultation

We offer personalized style consultations to assist clients in selecting appropriate formalwear for their specific event and personal preferences. 4. Appointments and Bookings

4.1 Scheduling

All fitting appointments and style consultations are scheduled at the mutual convenience of the client and our tailoring team. We strongly encourage clients to book appointments in advance, particularly for wedding parties, large group fittings, and events with firm deadlines. Advance booking ensures that our tailoring team can allocate sufficient time and attention to each client without compromising the quality of service.

4.2 Confirmation

Appointments are confirmed upon direct communication with our team via phone or email. Clients will receive confirmation of the scheduled date and time, along with any preparation guidelines relevant to their service. It is the client’s responsibility to verify and confirm appointment details prior to their scheduled visit.

4.3 Cancellations and Rescheduling

We understand that schedules can change. Clients are requested to provide at least 48 hours’ notice in the event of a cancellation or rescheduling request. Failure to provide adequate notice may result in the forfeiture of any deposit paid. Repeated no-shows may result in the requirement of full advance payment for future bookings. We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule appointments at our discretion in the event of unforeseen circumstances, in which case the client will be notified promptly and offered an alternative appointment at the earliest available time.

4.4 Late Arrivals

Clients who arrive significantly late for their appointment may be required to reschedule to ensure adequate time for a thorough and accurate fitting. We strive to accommodate all clients, but the integrity of the fitting process must be maintained. If a client arrives late and we are able to proceed with the appointment, the available service time may be reduced accordingly.

5. Rental Agreement Terms

5.1 Rental Period

All rental garments are issued for a specific agreed-upon rental period, which is established at the time of booking. The rental period, return date, and any applicable fees will be clearly communicated prior to the rental being finalized. Extensions to the rental period may be requested in advance and are subject to availability and additional charges.

5.2 Deposit Requirements

A security deposit may be required at the time of rental confirmation. The deposit amount will be communicated during the booking process and is held to cover potential damage, loss, or late return of the garment. Deposits will be refunded in full upon the timely return of the garment in its original condition. In cases where damage or loss has occurred, the applicable repair or replacement cost will be deducted from the deposit, and any remaining balance will be refunded to the client.

5.3 Care of Rental Garments

Clients are responsible for the reasonable care of all rented garments during the rental period. Garments must be returned clean, undamaged, and in the same condition as they were received, with the exception of normal wear associated with the event. Clients must refrain from attempting any self-repairs, alterations, or modifications to rental garments. Any unauthorized modifications may result in additional charges for restoration or replacement.

5.4 Damage and Loss

In the event that a rental garment is returned damaged beyond normal wear, or is lost or stolen during the rental period, the client will be held financially responsible for the cost of repair or full replacement of the garment. Charly’s Taylor reserves the right to assess the extent of damage and determine the applicable charge. Examples of damage include but are not limited to tears, stains, burns, missing buttons, broken zippers, and structural damage to the garment.

5.5 Late Returns

Garments returned after the agreed-upon return date may be subject to additional charges. Late return fees will be communicated at the time of rental confirmation and are applied on a per-day basis until the garment is returned. Failure to return a rental garment within a reasonable period following the agreed return date may result in the client being charged the full replacement value of the garment.

5.6 Fit Guarantee

We make every effort to ensure that rental garments are properly fitted prior to the event date. Clients are encouraged to schedule a fitting appointment well in advance to allow time for any necessary adjustments. While we take great care in achieving an optimal fit, alterations on rental garments are subject to the limitations of the specific garment. Any adjustments made to rental garments are temporary and will be reversed upon return of the garment.

6. Alteration Services Terms

6.1 Assessment and Quotation

Prior to commencing any alteration work, our tailoring team will assess the garment and provide the client with an estimate of the time and cost involved. Work will not begin until the client has reviewed and agreed to the proposed alteration plan. Quotations provided are estimates and may be subject to revision if additional work is identified during the alteration process.

6.2 Client Responsibility

Clients are responsible for providing accurate information regarding the intended use of the garment, including the event date and any specific fit requirements. Changes in requirements communicated after alterations have commenced may result in additional charges. Clients should also disclose any known issues with the garment, including previous repairs, damage, or structural weaknesses, prior to the commencement of alterations.

6.3 Alteration Limitations

While our team possesses decades of tailoring expertise, certain alterations may be limited by the original construction of the garment, including seam allowances, fabric type, and pattern alignment. We will communicate any such limitations clearly before proceeding. In cases where the requested alteration poses a risk to the integrity of the garment, we may recommend alternative adjustments or advise against proceeding with the modification.

6.4 Collection of Garments

Clients are expected to collect their altered garments within a reasonable time following completion. Charly’s Taylor will notify clients upon completion of their alterations. Garments left uncollected for more than thirty days following notification of completion may be subject to storage fees. Garments left uncollected for more than ninety days may be donated or disposed of in accordance with applicable California law, and Charly’s Taylor shall bear no liability for such garments.

6.5 Satisfaction and Resolution

We are committed to delivering alteration results that meet the agreed-upon specifications. In the event that a client is not satisfied with the outcome, we ask that concerns be raised immediately upon collection so that our team has the opportunity to assess and address the issue. We will make every reasonable effort to resolve any fitting concerns at no additional cost, provided the original alteration instructions were followed. Claims regarding alteration quality must be raised within seven days of collection.

7. Pricing and Payment

7.1 Pricing

All pricing for rental garments, alteration services, and consultations is established at the time of service booking and is subject to change without prior notice for future bookings. Pricing will be clearly communicated to the client prior to the commencement of any service. All prices quoted are in United States Dollars and are exclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.

7.2 Payment Methods

Charly’s Taylor accepts payment through the methods communicated in-store. Full payment or a deposit may be required at the time of booking, depending on the nature of the service. Clients will be informed of the accepted payment methods and any deposit requirements at the time of booking or consultation.

7.3 Taxes

All applicable state and local taxes will be applied to services and rentals in accordance with California tax regulations. Tax amounts will be clearly itemized at the time of payment.

7.4 Refunds

Refunds are issued at the discretion of Charly’s Taylor management and are subject to the specific circumstances of each case. Deposits may be non-refundable in certain situations, as outlined in Section 4.3 of these terms. Completed alteration services are generally non-refundable once the garment has been collected by the client. Rental fees are non-refundable once the rental period has commenced. In cases where Charly’s Taylor is unable to fulfill a service due to circumstances within our control, a full refund or credit will be offered to the client.

8. Intellectual Property

All content published on the Charly’s Taylor website, including but not limited to text, images, graphics, logos, design elements, and written content, is the exclusive intellectual property of Charly’s Taylor. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or use of any content without prior written consent from Charly’s Taylor is strictly prohibited.

Any trademarks, service marks, or brand names displayed on our website or in-store materials are the property of their respective owners and are used solely for identification purposes. Clients and visitors may not use, copy, or reproduce any intellectual property belonging to Charly’s Taylor for commercial or personal purposes without obtaining prior written authorization.

9. Privacy and Personal Information

9.1 Collection of Information

When clients schedule appointments, make inquiries, or engage with our services, we may collect personal information including name, contact details, measurements, and event information. This information is collected solely for the purpose of delivering our services effectively. We may also collect information through website forms, email correspondence, and in-store interactions.

Personal information collected by Charly’s Taylor will not be sold, shared, or distributed to third parties without the client’s explicit consent, except where required by law. We will respond to such requests within a reasonable timeframe and in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

10. Limitation of Liability

Charly’s Taylor shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the use of our services, rental garments, or website, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable California law. Our total liability to any client in connection with any service shall not exceed the total amount paid by that client for the specific service in question.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to our website or that all content will be free from errors. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue our website or any service at any time without notice. In no event shall Charly’s Taylor be liable for any damages resulting from the inability to access our website, errors in content, or interruptions in service availability.

11. Client Conduct

Clients are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and professional manner during all in-store visits and communications with our team. Charly’s Taylor reserves the right to refuse service to any individual whose conduct is deemed disruptive, disrespectful, or threatening to our staff or other clients. Such refusal of service will not result in any liability on the part of Charly’s Taylor.

Clients must follow all in-store policies and guidelines communicated by our staff, including those related to fitting room usage, garment handling, and appointment protocols. Any damage caused to store property, equipment, or garments as a result of negligent or intentional conduct by a client may result in the client being held financially responsible for repair or replacement costs.

Charly’s Taylor does not endorse, control, or accept responsibility for the content or practices of any third-party websites. Accessing third-party links is done entirely at the user’s own risk. 13. Force Majeure

Charly’s Taylor shall not be held responsible for any failure or delay in fulfilling its service obligations resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of government, public health emergencies, supply chain disruptions, labor shortages, utility failures, or other unforeseeable events. In such circumstances, we will make every reasonable effort to communicate with affected clients and reschedule services as soon as practically possible. Affected clients will be offered the option to reschedule their service or receive a credit for future use.

14. Indemnification

By engaging with our services, clients agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Charly’s Taylor, its owners, employees, and representatives from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising out of the client’s breach of these Terms and Conditions, misuse of our services, or any negligent or unlawful conduct on the part of the client.
